GoHPT is proud to be a prime contractor on GSA's Best-in Class 8(a) STARS III for IT services-based solutions including Emerging Technologies (ET) .

 

GSA 8(a) STARS III is a multiple-award, Indefinite-Delivery/ Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract designed to provide technology solutions to Federal agencies from exceptionally qualified 8(a) small businesses. The 8(a) STARS III GWAC is designated as a Best in Class (BIC) contract vehicle and it provides Federal government agencies an easy-to-use, streamlined procurement solution to purchase information technology services from 8(a) Prime contractors. GoHPT has been awarded this contract vehicle based upon our technical proficiencies and competitive pricing.

 

Federal agencies, using the 8(a) STARS III GWAC, have access to GoHPT through an established contract vehicle instead of traditional, open market methods. This GWAC saves both time and money for federal agencies, as well as provides access to GoHPT's proven service and technical capabilities. 

 

GSA 8(a) STARS III is intended to promote small business utilization by federal agencies when purchasing IT services or IT services-based solutions. With a ceiling of $50 billion, this BIC contract vehicle provides federal agencies a way to deliver mission-critical IT services working with small, disadvantaged businesses and that promotes diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility.

How to use STARS III for 8(a) Sole Source:

Step 1: Obtain your Delegation of Procurement Authority (DPA) for the 8(a) STARS III GWAC.

Step 2: Email the 8(a) Offer Letter to RDOfferletters@sba.gov and copy Igor.Soares@sba.gov Include contact person’s name; telephone; email address; and the Statement of Work (SOW).

Step 3: The SBA will send the requesting agency a letter of approval, or request additional information. The approval letter will state that the requesting agency and GoHPT are authorized to enter contract negotiations.

Step 4: The government agency and GoHPT enter into contract negotiation and the government agency requests a quote from GoHPT.

If the quote is acceptable, the government agency submits a task order award to GoHPT for the work to be performed. 

Step 5: Once negotiations are complete and the contract is executed, a copy of the contract along with the SBA approval letter needs to be sent to the SBA representative. 

Step 6: Send copy of award documents to S3@gsa.gov.
